On November 8, 2011 Mississippi could make history by becoming the first state to make abortion an illegal act.
However, Pro Abortion groups such as Planned Parenthood are threatened by such action seeing it’s bad for their business. (Note: Planned Parenthood is the number one provider of abortion in America. Dead Children = Cash so they are in full attack mode in Mississippi campaigning against Initiative 26)
Voting Yes on Ballot Initiative 26 would amend our state constitution by defining the term person as follows:
SECTION 33. Person defined. As used in this Article III of the state constitution. “The term ‘person’ or ‘persons’ shall include every human being from the moment of fertilization, cloning or the functional equivalent thereof.
Les Riley, founder of the Personhood Ms. Amendment rightly points out that even Dr. Seuss knows “A person’s a person, no matter how small.”
Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann has done a very good job holding Ballot Initiative Hearings for the three Mississippi Ballot Initiatives coming up for vote in November. All three are very conservative issues: Abortion, Voter ID, Eminent Domain. When the public hearing was held in Tupelo, Mississippi the topic of Abortion had the most citizen participation. Several people spoke in favor of and against Amendment 26. One person who spoke against Amendment 26 was named Rev. Vincent Lachina. He wore a clerical collar and described himself as a Southern Baptist Pastor having roots in Jackson, Mississippi and saying he was both prolife and prochoice and said he saw no conflict with those positions. He went on to take scripture out of context and spoke against Initiative 26. A few others spoke and then came a priceless moment. Jacob Dawson of the American Family Association got up before the crowd and stated, “A quick Google search revealed the Rev. Vincent Lachina was from Seattle, Washington and a Chaplain for Planned Parenthood. He is a pro abortion activist as well as a homosexual activist. In fact the quick Google search reveals a statement once made by the so-called Southern Baptist pastor. It states: “We gay men don’t need to worry about what the Republicans, the religious right, or homophobes will do to us.” ref. Vincent Lachina, The Good Boy,”The Advocate, 1-30-2007
Mississippi will not fall for these bogus attempts by Planned Parenthood no matter how much misinformation they put out or how money they spend trying to confuse Mississippians. In fact exposing Planned Parenthood is becoming a common trend that I expect will continue.
An average of 4,000 Americans die daily without media attention, without a police report, without so much as a funeral or even recognizing them by name. These Americans did not die on foreign soil at the hands of a foreign enemy. They committed no crime. They will never have the opportunity to experience the American dream of Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. These are innocent American children who have no say in the matter. Who will speak for them? Mississippians will and my prayer is that Amendment 26 passes on November 8, 2011. For more info go to Yeson26.net
